This book is a quick and relatively easy read. Decent YA Dystopian story with one part "The Running Man," one part "Hackers," and one part "Pretties." It does take a couple of chapters to adjust to the language, but it is more readable after that. There are some pretty good action scenes throughout. I am fascinated by the young blind Frag and wish the author went into detail a little more about her.. Let me start off by stating that this is a beautifully written YA book. MCs are wounded, but resilient and strong in their own ways. The story is part teen "Game of Thrones" and part "Village," with a dash of dystopian society. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the supporting characters as well, especially the twin brother and Ann. The ending did feel a little abrupt; however, the author has convinced me to read the next one. LT Member Giveaway

A quick and easy read for adults. The story starts off a little slow, but about a third of the way through, the flow of the writing is much better. Then you just have to finish it to see what happens to the villagers. Also, the second half is more family-friendly, while the first half seems to be geared more for adults only. Broken Life Journals - A Fight for Forever

A decent historical romance; however, the writing seemed to lose momentum from time to time. This work has lots of potential! The female MC has a great story, but comes off a little annoying.
