Smashwords Interview

Why do some people step out and write their books and others their dreams remain just that a "dream"?
Some have been taken under the control of a cruel master called "Fear''. Fear forces one into a place of dread: dreading the thought of failure, dreading the thought of the hardness of the task, dreading the thought of being unable or unequipped to conquer all problems as they occur. Unlikely as it may seem the greatest dread is the thought of real success. Success carries with it two unsolicited elements, ''unavoidable responsibilities" and "forced change". When one decides to fulfill his/her dream, this becomes the verbiage of the cruel master, Fear. "If you become a success, you may have to go out into the public and do book signings; everyone knows you are a born introvert". "If you become a success you are going to lose friends, have to change your dressing style, or even relocate". Fear operates in the control center, the mind. It sets up strongholds or fortresses, thoughts of dread and images of life as a failure as well as a success. To combat these thoughts or penetrate its walls, the power of decreeing God's Word is the only effective weapon. Speak to those thoughts of dread, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philipians 4:13. "God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind''. 2 Timothy 1:7 Speak these scriptures daily, hourly, whatever it takes. You will receive the courage and the boldness to bring your dream into fruition.
