Biography

Lily L. Jenkins is a wife, mother, minister, writer, educator, entrepreneur and speaker. Lily is the author of the Christian inspirational memoir, The Life of a Lily that has been ranked consecutively for weeks on the Top 50 Black Christian Book Distributors Independent Publishers Bestsellers List for Non-Fiction. She also owns and operates "Everything That's Lily, LLC,” an online book and inspirational jewelry business. The company brings literature and style with the word of God together to create a sense of fashion for everyone who loves jewelry, but also doesn't mind being reminded of the goodness of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Her testimony of how she got over and ultimately created her business, Everything That's Lily LLC was featured in her short story "The Breakthrough" in the June 2009 anthology, Have a Little Faith. Her children's book series entitled The Last Shall Be First was released March 2009 with the first story entitled, “An Act of Forgiveness.”

Lily is an honorary member of Cambridge Who’s Who for Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Executives, a finalist in the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Best Overall Design, and a nominee for the 2008 African American Literary Award for Non-Fiction.

Lily has taught elementary through high school English and Reading for fourteen years. She holds a bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of South Florida. A master's degree in Reading Education and an educational specialist in Educational Leadership were both earned from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

She is an ordained Elder under the leadership of Pastor Nathan L. Mitchell of Resurrection Life Kingdom Church and Kingdom Fellowship International, with an affirmation to walk as an Evangelist and Teacher of the Gospel. She is also on the Governing Board of Kingdom Fellowship International and acts as Overseer of Prayer and Intercession. She is a Certified Human Behavior Consultant (CHBC) through Christian Coach Institute and Uniquely You Resources, and a Certified Professional Life Coach through Fowler Wainwright International. She is an active member of Pursuit of Purpose Church, in Atlanta, GA where she is the Purpose Development Administrator and Overseer.

In 2010, Lily was commissioned by God to bring A Lily Among Thorns Conference and Spiritual Retreat to Chattanooga, TN and the surrounding areas based on the scripture Song of Solomon 2:2., set to impact thousands of women in the path to their destinies in God and go "From the Ordinary to the Extraordinary!" Also in 2010, A Heart of Hope Ministries International was birthed to help women and their families who have suffered, but survived domestic violence. Based on the premise of Romans 5:1-5, services offered at A H.O.H.M. include referrals with housing, educational workshops and seminars, and counseling, to equip women with hope for their futures while providing them the means to make a fresh start for themselves and their families.

Lily is also a dynamic inspirational speaker who has been sought after by churches, writing circles, schools, and community organizations to motivate, encourage, and inspire today's youth & young adults. She has been featured as a writer on The Review Magazine,Internet Cafe Devotions, Written Magazine, Booking Matters Magazine, Inspired Women Magazine and Live Magazine, interviewed on various radio shows, and a guest on Atlanta Live Ch. 57 TV and recently a Pine-Sol Powerful Difference Contest First Place Winner and featured in Ebony Magazine (Dec./Jan. 2010 Issue). Lily resides in Lithonia, Georgia, with her family.
