The "Angel Series" has been optioned for a major movie and is now in the development phase through Motion Picture Pro Studios. They've been involved with five academy award winning films.
Best pet I ever had: opossum. He makes an appearance in one of my books.
I write an article every other Thursday for "Eye on the Paranormal." My most popular articles: "Are there animals in heaven?", "Measuring and Attracting Supernatural Creatures", and a three part series "Christians and Communicating with the Dead."
I'm on the panel for the Indie Authors Web TV Show, hosted by Jason Matthews on the Hangout Networks, airing live 9pm Est on Monday nights.
I'm a wife, mom, and enjoy rehabbing wildlife.
Wildlife tip: When you pick up a Gopher Tortoise (around its middle, as they can bite a finger off) hold it away from your body as they tend to pee. I learned this the hard way.
Lisa Grace, your Angel Series has been optioned for a major movie, how exciting! Can you tell us something about that?
Yes, the first two books with first right of refusal on the third, have been optioned for a major movie(s) by a producer that has been involved with five academy award nominated films including "Shakespeare in Love," "Fargo," The Usual Suspects," and "Life is Beautiful." The option was exercised, and It's currently in development through Motion Picture Pro Studios. For a self pubished author, this is one more door we've successfully cracked open.
You offer "Angel in the Shadows, Book 1" free as an ebook, why?
Well, if you like paranormal books or books about the struggle between good and evil, you might enjoy the Angel Series, but if it's not your cup of tea, that's okay too. As a kid, I was introduced to many of my favorite authors by checking the book out free from the library. If I was hooked, I would go on to buy those books so I could re-read them. The library is filled with thousands of books, well-written, but just not appealing to me. I only enjoy maybe ten genres and not everything within those genres. So it's not an insult to me if someone doesn't like my book, it's just not for them. My philosophy is, if they read "Angel in the Shadows, Book 1" for free, and enjoy it, they'll buy the rest in the series and possibly go on to read my other books.
