  • The Gauntlet on March 08, 2012

The Gauntlet is a short story about one of the characters in the Cassie Palmer series, Kit Marlow. There isn't much about Kit's background in the series, so having this short story about his early years is great!
  • The Queen's Witch on March 08, 2012

I never liked Kit Marlow much in the Cassie Palmer books. But after reading Gauntlet and The Queen's Witch, about Kit Marlow's early days as a vampire, I've seen another side of him and I liked what I saw.
  • The Day of the Dead on March 09, 2012

The Day of the Dead is a free short story about Tomas, one of the vampires in the Cassie Palmer series. I was really curious to know what Tomas did before he reappeared again in the series. Well, after reading this short story I know. I really love Tomas in the Cassie Palmer series and it was great to read more about him and his past.
  • A Family Affair on March 10, 2012

I just love Pritkin so reading this additional free short story about him was a treat. In A Family Affair, Pritkin is going on a mission for his father. If Pritkin fulfills the mission Rosier promises to stop hunting Cassie. Off course the mission goes wrong... nothing new here with Pritkin... and off course when Cassie finds out what Pritkin's up to, she has to go help him and get's herself into trouble, which is also nothing new. So A Family Affair is the typical Pritkin - Cassie mess which is why I love this short story so much!
  • Mine: A Love Story on July 12, 2013

I got this book from the author to thank me for being a supporter of his Blue Fire Saga. Mine: A Love Story is very well written in the same style I love so much in the Blue Fire Saga. It's the story of Heather and her first year of Uni, a story of friendship, romance, heartbreak. The only reason I'm not giving this story 5 stars is because I had a constant feeling of deja-vu... a lot of the scenes seemed to come straight out of Breathless, the 1st Blue Fire Saga book.
  • Shadowland on Oct. 12, 2013

Shadowland is a free, it can be read online on Karen Chance's site or downloaded on Smashwords. Shadowland was a nice addition to the Cassie Palmer series. Cassie's life is in danger (again!) and when she tries not being killed something goes wrong (nothing new there either LOL, it's Cassie we're talking about). Pritkin, thinking Cassie is dead, goes to the Shadowlands to avenge Cassie's death. Don't read this short story if you haven't read the first 4 books of the series cause it contains some spoilers.
  • Weighted (The Neumarian Chronicles) on Aug. 25, 2014

It's the first time I read anything by this author and I loved it! The story is in the future and due to a big war the world isn't the same anymore. The Slags are in charge and under the rule of a cruel queen (she gave me the creeps!) and she turned the Neumarians (people with special powers) into slaves. It's not clear in this prequel how these Neumarians came to be... are they a step in the human evolution, another race, aliens... I hope that the next books in the series will clarify that cause I want to know. And I would like to know more about this big war too. Weighted is a great start to the series and I look forward to read the rest!
  • Zombie's Bite on Dec. 17, 2015

This story was brilliant! Kit Marlowe who usually knows everything doesn't know about Mircea's dhampir child. And Mircea's smirk smile when he comes to pick Dory up and Kit realises Dory is Mircea's daughter... priceless!
  • Lover's Knot on Aug. 23, 2017

It's been way too long since the last Dory book so I loved this novella. Also loved the flash backs to Mircea's life!
  • Junkyard (a Fractured Stars adventure) on Nov. 28, 2019

I loved this novella set in the Fallen Empire series! As always Lindsay Buroker's charachters are super loveable and her storytelling is amazing! I look forward to the full novel with these charachters!
  • The Fowl Proposal Bonus Scenes on Nov. 28, 2019

These are 4 great short stories all leading up to a marriage proposal between Ridge and Sardelle. It's a really nice extra if you love the series!
  • Balanced on the Blade's Edge (Dragon Blood, Book 1) on Nov. 28, 2019

Initially I was a bit disappointed when I found out this has no dragons in it... the dragon blood refers to magic-users, they have dragon blood. But Linday Buroker's engaging writing style soon made me forget the lack of dragons! I liked the description of this book but it is shelved as Steampunk here on GR. The books I've tried in this genre weren't my thing so I was hesitant to start this series. I decided to try it anyway because I've read and loved 2 syfy series by this author (Fallen Empire and Sky Full of Stars) and I loved her writing style in both. Maybe I just needed the right Steampunk book to make me like the genre? Well, Balanced on the Blade's Edge is definitely the right book! Loved the charachters and the world they live in and I can't wait to read more!
  • Star Nomad (Fallen Empire, Book 1) on Nov. 28, 2019

A fun fast paced space adventure with a sarcastic female lead, a pessimistic female mechanic and a cyborg who belonged to the other side in the war. It's a very good start to the series!
  • Warrior Mage (Chains of Honor, Book 1) on Nov. 24, 2022

The main charachter is Yanko, who I've already met in the Sword & Salt prequel series. I would definitely recommend reading the Sword & Salt series before this series because it is the story that leads up to the quest he is on in this book. This book briefly mentions people and events from Yanko's past that are explained in more detail in the Sword & Salt series. I'm sure you can follow the story in this book without knowing the details of those past events but it certainly makes the story richer if you do know the background story behind it.
  • Shadows Over Innocence (an Emperor's Edge short story) on Nov. 24, 2022

A story about Sicarius when he was still working as an assassin for The Emperor. Great story although I wish it included how Sicarius came to the Emperor's employ as a child. Maybe those questions will be answered in one of the coming books in the series.
  • The Emperor's Edge on Nov. 24, 2022

The more books I read of Linday Buroker, the more I love this author. Her writing style is engaging and fluent and she creates some great characters. I loved Amaranthe, Sicarius (which I misread as Siracuse the first time and now this name is stuck in my head) and their rag-tag group. This book is an easy to read adventerous story and I'm really looking forward to read the rest of this series and the other series in the same world.
  • Solstice Day Gifts (an Emperor's Edge Short Story) on Nov. 24, 2022

Great story of Amaranthe and Sicarius! Definitely worth reading if you like this series!
