I got this book free in a read4review.
I really don't know where to start! If it wasn't for the fact that I absolutely had to leave the house last night I can honestly say I would have read this in one sitting. I was hooked from page 1.
It was well written, the characters were well formed and the descriptions were just right. I loved the way the two Cal's developed throughout the book and the fact that it included a love story without the stereotypical love triangle that is seen so often in this genre. But most of all, it's so well written that it is believable. The author has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into this book & it shines through in the story.
I will definitely read this again and look forward to the next one.
I was given this book free to review.
When I saw the cover for this book I was excited to read it.
I'm sad to say I felt like it was a waste of time. The story isn't badly written as such, it's just that there's no real substance to the story and the characters are not at all likeable. In fact, they are really annoying. If they were actual people I somehow met I would hate them.
Isobel is in Marrakesh with her husband who is more interested in his work than his wife. She goes off the the market alone wearing a see through sweaty top with no bra and ends up in a sticky situation where she relies on a handsome business man (who comes across as sleazy) to save the day. It's just unrealistic, I can't imagine any woman being stupid enough to do something like this and couldn't enjoy the story at all.
