Aelise Teronne was an assassin working for the Kandu Law Enforcement. She was part of a group of trained superhumans who were programmed into forced killing. Escaping from her controllers, Aelise goes to set things right and make up for what she had already done. Twisting herself into tangles of all things complicated, she learns to treat herself not as a violent assassin, but as a changed person.

Wow. Just . . . wow. I absolutely loved this to death. Your characters were easily loveable (except for a few parts where Kristi was doing that monologue in her head and arguing with herself, those kind of . . . irked me). And you ending was great, it had that 'oomph' that I like when I finish science fiction books (which are my favorite genre). However, one problem with the ending (for me at least) was how it was kind of choppy in the last few sentences before it completely ended. Either way, it was easily ignorable considering how "Oh gosh I've gotta find the next book! It's time for doing! DOING! Must. Find. Next. Book.". I saw the: the story continues on in: flawless, and I ran (okay, not literally) to your page to see if there was a second book finished. You cannot imagine my impatience when there wasn't. ☺ I love your writing style! A few grammatical/spelling errors were here and there, but not too many. It was so 'not put downable' that I finished it in a few hours! Great job on this wonderful story, I will definitely read it again - because I do that with books I love xD By the way, very catchy cover; pulled me right in. Luann Jung ☺♥
