Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town (Speers) in Saskatchewan, Canada. As a son helping my dad on the farm, I loved using my spare times for reading science fiction. My further education was spent at the U. of S. in Saskatoon, where my flirtation with reading great sci-fi continued. Over the years, I also gained a great respect for the astronomers and astrophysicists whose many articles were features of magazines. This led me to examine and think deeply about our universe and to eventually begin to write my own theories over the past 10 years.
When did you first start writing?
My first four widely published books (1980-1990) were in the sport of curling, where I possessed some expertise. Not till 2013 did I publish my first sci-fi novel (Trillionist) and then my theory book (Trillion Theory) in 2015. Since then, I have been writing full time about my new Trillion Theory, with 7 books published on this new theory.
