Lynne North

Biography

I am an author who lives in a lovely countryside area in the north west of England and works as a data analyst for one of the local Health Authorities. I write under the name of Lynne North. I have been a prolific reader all my life, and for many years have spent most of my free time writing. As well as being educated up to degree level, I have completed courses and received diplomas from ‘The Writing School Ltd’ and ‘The Academy of Children’s Writers’. My aim in life has always been to write, and I had a sideline of freelance writing for more years than I like to admit to having lived. In earlier days this mainly involved published articles in such magazines as ‘Prediction’.
I had two children’s novels ‘Gertie Gets it Right (eventually)’ and ‘Zac’s Destiny’ published by ‘YouWriteOn’, the writers’ site sponsored by the British Arts Council, in 2008. The covers provided were pretty awful, so I carried on seeking a good publisher.
‘Caution: Witch in Progress’, a rewrite of ‘Gertie’, was published by Ghostly Publishing in 2013 and launched at Earl’s Court Book Fair in London. Though my publisher ceased to publish in 2014, I have kept ‘Caution’ out on Kindle on Amazon worldwide. I also had two other books due to be published by Ghostly before Christmas 2014. One of them was a rewrite of ‘Zac’s Destiny’ which I have now also released on Kindle under my own publishing name of ‘Crystal Pen Publishing’. I recently released something completely different on Kindle too, a compilation of thirteen macabre Twist in the Tale short stories, definitely NOT for children!
In 2015 I was lucky enough to discover Crimson Cloak Publishing and to be taken on as one of their new authors. New books will be coming out in 2016!
