Marcel Feldmar was born in Vancouver, moved to Boulder, ended up in Denver, went back to Vancouver, moved to Seattle, and ended up in Los Angeles. He is married with three dogs, and enjoys well made cocktails. He is also a coffee addict and an ex-drummer for too many bands to mention. He recently traded in his drumsticks for a couple of pens, and proceeded to complete his first novel.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I think that Smashwords has opened up a few more doors to me in terms of reaching a bigger audience. I might have found these doors on my own, but I'm sure it would have taken longer. There's a slight streamlining that Smashwords delivers that makes the process a little easier.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
For me, I suppose, it's the transferring of thoughts and images into a certain solidity. Having the words read and enjoyed by others is definitely a thrill, but just the ability to give shape to something... sometimes I can't even speak the things I think about, but when the pen touches paper, the keyboard letters hit the screen... I can write it out. That is joy.
