M. Henry is my nom de plume, which I chose to use as an author.
I was born 64 years ago in Holland. I have a partner and I am blessed to be the mother of two beautiful sons.
I moved to the central part of Spain nearly three years ago. We live on the outskirts of a little village in the countryside of Spain. When we moved here we kept goats, chickens, fish and two dogs. Due to circumstances most of the animals are gone. At present we still have our fish and three wonderful dogs. We are still trying to grow our own food and we are trying to live off the grid.
I spent most of my working years in Holland, where I worked for a major business travel agency. I love to travel myself and discover new places. In that way I could combine my work and my hobby.
Fourteen years ago we discovered this beautiful area in Spain. Besides all the normal daily activities I love to make jewelry and have taken up photography. Every day I try to write a few hours.
I have just published my fifth novel called Luna's Spirit. It is my first attempt to write fantasy but the book also contains autobiographical details. The setting is of course the beautiful valley where I live.
At present I am working on my sixth novel, La Olla.
I hope my readers enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I have always been an enthusiastic reader myself and as soon as ebooks appeared, I started to buy them and download them on my computer. In that way i assembled my own private library. Now I have the library on my smartphone, and where ever I go, my library goes with me. I visit sites like Smashwords, Kobo and Amazon, as well as Dutch sites, since I am originally Dutch.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I am creative in other ways. I am living in the central part of Spain for nearly a year on the outskirts of a little village. Me and my partner are keeping animals, like goats, chickens, fish and we have three energetic dogs. When I am not writing I am busy walking dogs, planting (we try to grow our own vegetables) and I have another hobby, making jewelry. I also sing in the village choir, so twice a week I join the ladies of the village choir to practice.
