The Author was born and raised in South Jersey. A young man who has always had a love for fantasy and a overactive imagination. Influences from anime and movies with in depth ideas and stories. Now, I'm just showing the world stories that stem from my mind. I am now currently in College working towards a degree in Education.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Burlington County of New Jersey. I grew up below the poverty line the first twelve years of my life. Then, by the grace and blessing from God, our household income grew. I did not dive into athletics until freshman year of high-school. So anime, fantasy type movies were a big thing to me. I found a blank composition notebook and wrote. I wrote stories, goals, and ideas. Just whatever came to mind was jotted down.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I have ever read was I believe "Alls Quiet on the Western Front". I actually hated it, but what caught me was the numerous themes and motifs in the story. I read it for English class in High-school and that stood out to me.
There are many things that are withheld from humanity. Mainly, the truth of Heaven and Hell and the creatures that stem from it. A curse. An appetite for murder that stems from their demon ancestors is attempted to be used for good rather than evil. Baests are not the only ones. There are other creatures of Evil. Can evil be used for good?
I recommend that one reads Escaped Demons first, then Devil's Rejects. It creates more efficient way to follow this timeline.
This Novelette is a Prequel to Baests: The Escaped Demons. Peter is recruited by his older brother to become a part of the first all Baest task-force. They are given their first assignment after completing strenuous training. A search and rescue mission of eleven reporters who are kept as prisoners in 2000 Sierra Leone during the civil war. This mission is not much for Demons or is it?
Peter a young man who was born into a cursed race of people formally called Baests. A curse from Hell, that he with his older brother Mack have decided to use it for good. They are challenged when the rest of their race finally decide to rise and revolt against humanity. Mack attempts to stop them but fails. Can Peter finish what his brother began or will he fall the same?
This short story is overly intriguing. Author Bree Pierce takes a Christian story and gives it a dark twist. She brings the story, primarily Cain to life. It is the beginning of a series that should be followed.
