Michael Seidel

Biography

Michael Seidel (well, that’s me – I’m writing this) is a Silicon Valley (Moffett Field, Mountain View and Half Moon Bay, CA) refugee who lives in Ashland, Oregon, under the observation and care of several cats, a wife and a few smart but caustic friends. I used to be in the US Air Force (but I retired), and I used to work for PAS, LuMend, NetworkICE, ISS and IBM. When not drinking wine, beer or coffee, I obsess with reality and write science fiction, fantasy and mysteries.

Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, I began writing a novel called Tapestry of Time. I'll finish it yet.
What is your writing process?
Writing is continual, organic and cerebral. The first stage is writing like crazy, capturing the output in a 90 minute mocha and espresso fueled intense firestorm of ideas and words. Then I edit and revise for pacing, accuracy, tense and grammar, and polish, over and over and over again, until I finally say, there. Done. I do this every day.

Today’s date minus yesterday’s memories of Nobel’s rainbow skies equals ‘what happened to me’ for Kimi. Brett has the same memory problem – the last he knew, the Castle Hercules broke up in space, and he was jumping into an evacuation pod. Seventeen years later, he’s on Earth, the last place a corporate fourth waver needs to be, without his memory, and growing old. And Kimi has the solution.
