Matt Adey is a freelance and part-time writer living in Nottinghamshire, England. Matt is the author of ‘The Last Lock In’ which is a “collection of short stories wrapped up in a short story”. People seemed to quite like it and a follow-up collection was planned. Then Matt got Acute Myeloid Leukemia which kind of kicked that in the teeth.
5 years later Matt has just about recovered. New work is on the way...
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Stories. Its simple really I have a head full of stories and strangeness and such things occasionally need to seep out.
When did you first start writing?
I've always been a writer and wrote regularly through most of my teenage years. I stopped when I went to University; I'd like to say my studies got in the way but I suspect it was the beer...
I then became a closet writer for years, eventually I came out to my wife and then my friends and to my surprise received support rather than derision. So a few years later here we are!
A collection of short tales wrapped up in short story...
It’s a wild and windy night and a group of regulars seek shelter in the village pub swapping dark tales and rhymes.
As the wind howls outside, does one of them have a story darker than the others could possibly imagine?
Will that black soul ensure that this ‘lock in’ will be the last?
