Smashwords Interview

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Anxiety about getting something done.
What is your writing process?
An idea occurs without warning. It must immediately get typed into a note in my Notes app creatively titled "ideas" which is a list of ideas. As more details of that idea emerge, they are added to that note. Eventually, the idea gets its own note probably titled whatever the book or story or theater piece or who knows what will end up being called. (I find title early and usually remain loyal.) That note gets very long and includes images, ideas, text fragments, references, etc. At some point, it's time to start actually writing. I make myself write in the morning. Afternoon and evening writing is optional but often occurs. Nighttime writing is usually not a good idea. I think a lot between sentences. I re-read what I've written up to the point in question a lot. I often have a dog on my lap.
