Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was a mystery along the lines of Nancy Drew. I was about ten years old and never finished it. That was a problem for me as I am dyslexic and think somewhat tangentally.
What is your writing process?
I get an idea and develop it internally. Then I do research because I want my readers to enjoy the story without the dissonance of incorrect information. I'm pretty much a "pantser" as I write, letting the story tell itself. I do make a few notes as I go along to keep things straight. Without my laptop, I would never have finished a book. I'm a loyal fan of Word because I can cope with the tangled letters I type. Cut and paste is my best friend. When the story is told, it's edit, edit, edit.
