Could not even finish the book due to the overly stupid heroine character. Can not recommend.
  • Conor’s Way on Sep. 25, 2011

Wow, unknowned author for me. But what a storyteller! Definitely want to read her other books.
  • The Demon's Possession on Oct. 07, 2011

Worth every penny. Hope it will not be too long wait for book two!
  • The Cold Wife on Nov. 05, 2011

Okay read. A little too sugary, and the heroine was a brat almost until the end of the book.
  • Carnal Gift on Nov. 25, 2011

I am a bit disappointed with this book from mrs Clare. I read Ride the Fire before this one, and it was soo much better. One of my pet peeves in adult romance literature is when the female lead is a teenager or is painted with a teenage mentality. This book has one such.If I had read this one before mrs Clares other books I would not have read those.
  • The Desires of a Countess on Nov. 27, 2011

The writing felt stilted, the characters like caricatures. Skimmed through most parts.
  • Sommersgate House on Nov. 27, 2011

Second try with this author. Can not get into her writing style. Do not like her characters, especially not the trashy picturising of her female leads.
  • Harper's Bride on Nov. 28, 2011

Really well written and engaging. Should have been a five star if the ending had not been so abrupt. I would also have appreciated an epilogue.
  • The Spare on Dec. 01, 2011

This is a very well-written, unusual historical romance, sensual, with lovely gothic touches and an appealing hero and heroine. Loved it!
  • The Dom Who Loved Me, Masters and Mercenaries, Book 1 on Dec. 10, 2011

Surprised how good this book was! I really would like to get my hands on sequels, but have not found any info on this.
  • Playing For Keeps on Jan. 16, 2012

Well, a contemporary romance with a 29 yr old virgin...DNF
  • Perfection: A Neighbor From Hell Novel on Feb. 12, 2012

Liked this a lot more than Playing for keeps. Really good.
  • The Baron & the Clockmaker's Daughter on March 05, 2012

Easy lightweight romance read, quite fun in parts. Not very sensual though.
  • The Parfit Knight on Oct. 28, 2012

    Ok read.
  • His Jilted Bride (Historical Regency Romance) on April 16, 2013

Did not finish. I cant stand when the majority of a romance circles around 'the altar of virginity'. This book does, the plot apart from this was too farfetched.
