Martin Van Horn

Biography

Martin Van Horn grew up exposed to the tales of Old Europe told by his maternal grandmother, a refugee from Latvia to Ellis Island. Spurred by her command of five languages, he picked up as much language acquaintance as he could, then lived in Austria, Europe, for 14 years as a missionary and historical explorer. Cross-cultural adventures stretch the mind and heart, so the exploration of the culture of Heaven was very intriguing when God snuck up on him with unexpected revelations from His Word. If we only see God as Judge we avoid His eyes, not realizing they are eyes of love. Martin has been through years transforming his heart from one of fear and shame to one of openness and love. Studying the Bible in the original Hebrew and Greek leads to seeing the smile of God over His children, so he has written a book to encourage your heart as well as enlighten your mind.
