Great preview. Looking forward to read the whole book

I enjoyed the first book. The right combination of humor, suspense and romance. When I finished it I hoped Lola story would not be over. Now another book dealing with Lola has just come out. If it is as good as Lola's first adventure it will be a very good ride.

Again Betty Byers took us for a very enjoyable ride. I liked Lola's balancing act between her two knights in shining armor. I also liked how Mrs. Byers builds the suspense, psychologically without the use of the stereotyped violence found in American potboilers. Lola and her fellow investigators use their wits instead of blasting bad guys away to find the perp and put him away. I am looking forward to Lola's next adventures. PS. I wonder which is Lola's favorite masterpiece by Paolo Uccello. The battle of San Romano or Sir John Hawkwood's fresco.

Looking forward to start reading this book. If it is as good as Nomads of the Gods it will be one heck of a ride.
  • Nomads The Fallen God on Oct. 11, 2013

I just finished reading the second book of the Nomads' saga. Very good writing. I am looking forward to the third book. The only fly in the ointment is the lack of proofreading before publishing the book. Almost every page had mistakes that the spell check could not flag, such as statue & stature, site & sight. However I could not put down the book and finished in 3 days.

Among the best science fiction stories I found on Smashwords. I hope Andee Erickson is already working hard on the next book because I don't want to wait too long. 5+ stars.

My first book by Sonnjea Blackwell. Great book. Sharp, funny, witty, taught mistery. I am looking forward to read more about Alex Jordan. However the book had ONE HUGE MISTAKE. I understand Sonnjea was born in the East Bay, but Alex should have placed her ponytail hair through the back hole of a SF GIANTS cap and wear a red & gold 49rs shirt. ;)
  • A Leap of Fate Episode 4 The Salvation of Caron on Oct. 23, 2013

I have read the first 4 books and loved them. My wife will not be too happy when she finds out I just downloaded book 5. She accuses me of spending too much time with my Android tablet. What choice do I have with the current shows on tv? Most of them are garbage so I prefer to immerse myself in the adventures of Ron and Cache
  • A Journey Deep on Nov. 08, 2013

I loved this book. Not the usual science fiction dealing with futuristic weapons & weird aliens. This book made you think about real feelings. I hope Beth Reason is already working on the new adventures of Ashnahta and Jake.
  • The Legend of Alundi - Journey to the Emerald Skull on Nov. 21, 2013

Great book. The Quest involving Galahad, Elves, Dwarves and other legendary figures is gripping. I have finished the book looking forward to the next book. But, unfortunately it is not here yet. I hope Russell Claridge is already typing on his computer like a busy bee to finish The Legend of Alundi - Binding Paths.

Gary Lee is a great writer with a fantastic fantasy. I have read both Nomads of the Gods and this book. I like them so much that I am willing to forgive & forget the spelling/typo errors. As a retired police sergeant that had to read, fix and approve dozens of daily reports I am used to the mistakes and typo. I am looking forward to the next John-29/KT-7 adventures. But first Gary Lee needs to write the last Nomads' trilogy book.
