The Paladins of Naretia

I'm on page 242. Downloaded the book 2 days ago and I haven't been able to put it down. Such beautiful writing. Such complex characters. And I love Olorin's little monologues on sexism and gender roles. I've fallen in love with all the characters. Even Aria. I'm so glad I got this book and I'm even happier that you, Ms TP Keane, decided to write it. The world needs more writers like you.

Have I read the book yet?
Then why are you giving it 5 stars Nokhanyo?
Because he's South African and one of his favourite books is Artemis Fowl so I have faith in his work.
Sold To The Sheikh: His Indecent Proposal (Book One)

I just started reading this book and within the first 10 pages the male lead has called the main character a "stupid bitch" and said stuff like he has more lawyers than she has cats. That's not cute. That's abusive language and it shouldn't be romanticized. I'm not going to read the rest of this. Sure maybe it gets better but I'm not willing to find out because you've turned me off it. I actually don't know how anyone can move past that. This is just trash. If my best friend called me and told me that a good looking stranger rammed into her car, called her a stupid bitch, then basically called her a cat lady then hit on her I'd take her myself to get a restraining order against him, I wouldn't be happy that she's dating a billionaire. That's what the characters in books are, friends, and since I wouldn't like anyone I personally know to be involved in such a situation I don't want characters I read about to be involved in such cases either. Be they hot billionaires or not. Let's not make abuse look cute. There are better ways to write strong characters without them being abusers.

I'm giving this 5 stars because of the Afrikaans.
Plus it's incredibly well written and a great story over all. Can't wait for the second installment.
