Mauro Marcantoni


Mauro Marcantoni is an Italian sociologist and journalist. Since 1998, he has been the CEO of the Institute for Assistance in Business Development in Trento, Italy. He has authored many publications on social and economic development, on business organisation and on the history of entrepreneurs and companies. Blind since the early 1990s, he has studied the theme of limitation of the senses and of how they are overcome. In 2007, he was awarded the ‘Campione’ prize for Culture for the book I ciechi non sognano il buio (The Blind Do Not Dream of the Dark) and in 2015, the ‘Sibilla’ literary prize for the book Vivere al buio (Living in the Dark).
