Maxwell Coffie

Biography

I write fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery (often a combination of all three). I love action scenes, and so my books are littered with them. Occasionally, I will dabble in romance or drama too.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
When I was what, 10? I started writing by first telling stories through comics. Eventually, I realized that I didn't care as much about illustration, as I did about my plots and characters. So, I transitioned fully to writing.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Accra, Ghana, West Africa. All it means is that I tend to slip certain elements (names, places, cultures) into my work. It also means that more often than not, my main protagonist is black. But otherwise, I really see myself as an author for the global community. If I didn't tell you I was from Ghana, you probably wouldn't know just by reading my work.
