Max Quinn

I live in Portland, Oregon, where I pay the bills by programming computers and technical writing. In a way, I'm widely published - my help manuals have gone out to millions.

I started "Never Could Be Any Other Way" in 1992. Wrote what became the first chapter while listening the "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" over and over. I completed the MS in 2003, set it aside to deal with life and living, and revisited it here and there to keep the dream alive.

Never did much to try and get it published. Until now. I've always envied how musicians and make CDs and sell them at shows. Smashwords is the writers' equivalent.

A dark comedy about the end of the world. More funny than dark, really. But still, it's about the end of the world. So there's darkness. But also light. And humor. The Big Goodbye has its bright side.
