On December 6, 2017, Nova Scotia will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion. More than 2,000 people were killed and another 9,000 were injured from the largest man-made explosion of its time.
To pay tribute to the victims, survivors and heroes who emerged from the disaster, Quarter Castle Publishing gathered a collection of fictional short stories connected to the Explosion.
Bronwyn Darrow is desperate to rescue his daughter Isla from Blackvale Castle. For five years, he’s travelled Ath-o’Lea searching for her, but the formidable castle remains elusive. He’s surrendered his coveted sergeant’s position at Aruam Castle, but he’s willing to sacrifice everything—even his honour—to bring Isla home. If he fails, his little girl will face a lifetime of slavery.
