What is your writing process?
I write daily. I keep multiple journals with different themes. The themes are family life, nature, the art of writing, inspiration and art. I read everyday and get motivation from my fellow bloggers at WordPress.com. I write short stories about my childhood and events that happened throughout my life that I believe are universal. I outline, collect quotes, use headlines to write poems, and reflect on my own artwork.
How do you approach cover design?
The cover has to reflect my overall theme. In The Secret Life of Mandalas, I designed the cover with a spiraled mandala. The colors I use are also important. When I watercolor or paint with acrylics, my palette is very much the colors that you would find in the gardens of an English country cottage. I love the violets, lavender hues, and all earth tones.
