Ignoring a situation never makes it better or go away, and generally makes it worse. 🦄🦄🦄 Taking Action For A Better Tomorrow by Jeremy Boggess is a thought provoking book that details the changes we have to expect in the future and how we have to adapt to it while also talking about events that took place in the past and the impact that it had on humankind. The book covers six topics; Changes Occurring in the Fractionalized World of Today, Action, Apathy, and Consequences, Our Government, The Future of Ourselves and Society, Balance the Equation, Ourselves and Society The author's views on how things can be better if we just tried doing things a little bit differently shows how a small step can cause a big leap whether it comes from a person or a whole country. Change doesn't necessarily only mean big things like 'change in the environment'. It can also be something like a person's view on their life and how they can make it better. There are so many quote worthy lines in this book that have stuck with me: - In our zeal to combat racism, prejudice, and stereotypes, we must be careful not to give birth to them when they are not present. - Do not just explain to people why a thing is wrong, but help them understand the consequences of their actions. - We must be careful; sometimes in our despair or frustration we grasp for the beautiful, but unwittingly grasp the nightmare. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to everyone, irrespective of your interested because all of us as a civilization need to understand the importance of protecting the world we live in. 🦄🦄🦄 Rated 8/10 Melina L.
