Smashwords Interview

What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I have found that word-of-mouth is a pretty effective marketing tool. Friends of friends (and their friends) talk about my book, making it easier to spread the word.
Describe your desk
My desk is huge and brown, with two drawers underneath to store useful items. I am easily distracted, so having a plain, brown desk helps me focus on my writing.

However, Patience is saddened by the prejudice she encounters. Accused of "acting white" by the black community and being "too black" for the whites, she is torn. Should she identify with only one race or can she embrace both? Will she find love?
