My Book The Hustler and The Angel
Hello this is exciting to publish this book that I hope many will enjoy. This book as much fun as it was hard for it deals with many things I still have no grasp of. I do know from experience of having family members who have dealt with cancer and not one of them won their battle. As painful as it is to lose a loved one it made me question is there something more to life than this?
In the beginning of writing this book felt in ways of being poked in the back by God. Now that time has gone by not sure. Many say that this kind of book would not warrant Gods hand in it because of the language, pot smoking and much more. It still has the same arguments by me and many of people who I have spoken with in how we question religion and how God works in ones life.
So you can see that this book has no way the answers to it just questions while at the same time it has a great romance and how we need to cherish our friends for they are what gets us through this hectic life that at times can really drag you down, cancer or no cancer.
Some of the crazy conversations that took places between the girls are very close to the ones I heard all around me. When one finds the close knit bond of friendship in life it can make one’s live bearable as these women provided for each other. They’re style make not be gentle or even socially acceptable but they allowed each one to let their hair down as they held each other with warm arms of comfort.
I learned this lesson when my sister who was only twenty seven when she passed away from cancer leaving a three years old little girl behind. My mother thought her friends were the type that she should not hang out with. Then she learned these people who did not deserve to be in my sister life were the ones right there at her side everyday giving more of themselves than anyone would expect and better than the people who my mother held more respect before. Like the expression can’t judge a book by its cover.
Whether this is helped by God or not it was written from the heart.
