The Butcher's Wife
on Aug. 08, 2022
The Butcher’s Wife, is a recently published novella written by Sam Crescent. He is the author of numerous other fictitious works, as well as a co-author. This work is part of the erotic and romance genres. Though I am not as familiar with these genres as its regular readers, I was attracted to the cover—not a thin and muscled type image but a mature man. That and the title, The Butcher’s Wife, got my attention.
After reading the description, I was even more curious about the wife. Why has she been considered damaged? Her fiancé didn't want her, but this other man wants to marry her, why? Everyone was afraid of him why isn’t she? Yes, the butcher had saved her, but I wanted the whole story.
Some places seemed repetitious but not enough to deter me from the story. I liked the way they talked to each other and the butcher chose not to follow the family’s expectation and made his own rules of honest expression between them. Her commitment to her husband was admirable. Enough said. It was brief and intense. I liked it!
