I live in a country where the beaches are always picturesque, the Mayan ruins are always intriguing, and the Blue Hole is just minutes away. Yet I prefer sticking close to home, reading a good novel and then picking up my laptop and trying to write one. Look for the Kingdom Series (Taming Mr. Jerkface, Taming Mr. Charming, and Taming Mr. Know-It-All) in ebook format. Thank you for looking and God bless.
How do you approach cover design?
I approach cover design with an eye for details. I want my covers to stand out without looking bombastic. I also want the colors to reflect the general theme of the book. If it's a fantasy, the colors may be more whimsical, while if it's a romance, I'll go with strong, passionate colors.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story that I ever read was "The Gingerbread Man". My father sat me on his lap and taught me to read before anyone thought a two year old was capable of such a thing. He taught me to look at words like pictures. I had no idea what the individual letters were as yet, but I knew when I saw the picture with the squiggles that word was "THE".
