A nice work of literature from modern Egypt, featuring the culture and the life of people in a small village in the south, a small neglected village with a huge heritage of myths and folktales..It brought many stuff from the urban culture there like the pharaohs curse, the guarding demons, the superstitions the people there believe in, and many more in a nicely worked novel .. the language was simple and direct, poetic at some points ..I enjoyed reading it a lot and looking forward to read more from this type :)
