What motivated you to become an indie author?
What motivated me are the desire to see other people become Millionaires and achieve financial freedom; I also want them to learn the subject of making money (or really how to have money work hard for them), a subject which is not being taught at neither schools nor universities.
Becoming an indie author provides me the freedom to write and publish my own books, which cost nothing in reality. And I am not restricted by the quest to find literary agents, etc.
Also, I am motivated by the amount of royalties provided by indie publishing companies like Amazon and Smashwords, which are much more than those given by traditional publishers.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords being a fast and free distributor of e-books has helped me distribute my e-books to many online retailers like Apple iBooks, Kobo and Barnes & Noble, without me having to spend a penny except for editing.
I owe a lot to Smashwords for being the largest distributor of e-books. The founder, Mark Coker is dedicated to help indie authors like myself to sell as many e-books as possible to potential customers, rather than just make himself rich.
