Biography
Montgomery Harris is the author of the Zombie Apocalypse series "Z1O5: Zombie Outbreak" in which the main characters are play a part n three distinct yet converging story lines. Looking at the Zombie Outbreak from the standpoint of Government efforts to gain some control; the ordinary civilians who find themselves exposed to extra-ordinary situations and a conflict of good and evil between two characters who may end up shaping the future of the world.
Montgomery Harris is also the author of a series of companion books that accompany the Z1O5 series known s the "Z1O5 Articles of Survival", The first of which will be released in late 2016.
The Scarlet Cross is the next major project, and follows the Scientific research of today through the next two hundred years. Following the Ambler family and their roles in the New Order of The Templar Knights. This science Fiction saga is part of Montgomery Harris' self styled "Extinction Punk" genre, following story lines that blend Science Fiction and the post apocalypse worlds he creates with the Human spirit for survival, family, imagination and our inner struggles as we search for our goal to leave the world a little better than when we arrived.
Monty's books are recommended for readers who are comfortable with violence, action, suspense and also looking for a story that provides a goal and conflict for almost every character you meet.
With a career in the British Army, A degree in political History, a Masters in Adult and Further Education and a career in private business as a course designer and as a Live Action Role Play and Military Simulations Story Writer; Monty as spent a lifetime of seeking out his own adventures and creating an atmosphere that immerses people into a world in which he is the guide for your imagination.
Having be norn and raised in England, Stationed in 9 other countries and serving several tours of duty before settling in the united states, Montgomery Harris will always be grateful for the opportunity to travel that he was fortunate enough to experience. The diversity of climates, cultures, the history and the differences while also seeing so many commonalities are the true inspirations for his story writing.
With influences in writing also coming from the great story tellers like Charles Dickens, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, P.D.James, Bernard Cornwell, Catherine Cookson and Clive Cussler H.G.Wells and Diane Gablder; Harris is aware of his being a beneficiary to a steady mix of adventure, fantasy, action and roamer in great story-telling.
Monty has two daughters and two granddaughters and lives near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife Sherry.
A long time fan of classic Sci-fi novels of the seventies and eighties as well as a self confessed addict of the Sci-fi channel, his dream is to one day write a screen play for his own Sci-fi show concept. His hobbies include Cosplya, LARP, stage combat and he is always found within rms reach of a sketchbook.
