Biography

Managing Partner - Rockwell Media Services, LLC, (8/2001 - present) media broker and broadcast consultant assisting broadcasters in development, upgrade, operation and sale of Radio & Television properties and FCC compliance issues.

President, CEO and Director of Legacy Communications Corporation (3/1998 -7/2008), a broadcast development and holding company traded publicly under the symbol (”LGCC”) from April 1998 until July 2008 when the company was sold to Mint Leasing, Inc. now trading under the symbol (“MLES”).

Pioneer member of the Radio Advertising Bureau’s “Certified Radio Marketing Consultant” program which recognizes professional marketing skills and experience. He is the recipient of the 1995 Distinguished Service Award given annually by the Utah School Boards Association for Outstanding Journalistic Attainment in Reporting and Interpreting Education to the public and the recipient of numerous other civic and broadcast awards.

Skinner joined KSL Radio in September 1965 as a news reporter and morning news anchor. In the fall of 1967 was asked to relocate to New York City as the News and Public Affairs director of Bonneville stations WRFM/WNYW (Radio New York Worldwide). During his tenure at WNYW the first Spanish language coverage of Wall Street began with “live” reports from the American & New York Stock Exchanges. He organized the Inter-America Spanish language Radio Network comprised of 327 radio stations throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

In 1969 he relocated to Los Angeles as news anchor of Bonneville’s KBIG AM/FM until September 1972 when hired at KOOL Radio & Television in Phoenix as sales manager for KOOL AM/FM and became station manager of KOOL(FM) in 1974. In April of 1980, he joined the broadcast division of Donrey in Las Vegas, Nevada as the Vice-President and General Manager of KORK AM/FM where under his guidance the stations increased in ratings and exceeded revenue projections.
