Ed Berger's writing started with children's writing then poetry. One day, he noticed a posting in the laundry room of his building, for a writing therapy group, at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital. Ed has been diagnosed with a chronic debilitating illness. This group allowed him to discover that the written words of his life, the words that were so difficult, started to flow, freeing him, to dream again. After many night classes, he began writing a novel, “Flight,” one of its many titles over the years.

Alexander Kinski is writing his final university exams, when his mother asks him to come home and look after his dying grandfather. "Mommy needs you. It'll only be for a couple of weeks." A year and a half later and with a substantial inheritance, Alexander is free to do whatever he wants.
