T.T. Floyd was born in Miami, Florida. As a child, her fifth-grade teacher Mrs. Willie Mae McClain inspired her love for writing and encouraged her to enter in writing and poetry contests. While most of her friends were thrilled to go outside to play, T.T. preferred to stay in the house reading, writing, as well as creating and performing in her own soap opera. Her love for writing continued to flourish throughout high school. In high school she was a staff writer and feature editor for her school newspaper, The Smoke Signal. “What excites me most about writing is when the characters that I create take me on an unpredictable journey.” T.T. Floyd is a three-time graduate of Nova Southeastern University. She resides in Pembroke Pines, FL with her loving husband David Floyd and their three children David Jr., Taylor, and Dylan.
