Smashwords Interview

Describe your desk
My desk seems to be wherever I'm at when the Lord says write. Right now it is 3 am & I'm sitting at my kitchen table. Sometimes I'm even sitting up in bed in the middle of the night with my laptop, just tapping away. All the while, praying that I don't wake my husband (Ed) with my typing. When my first book, "Because He Loves Me", was written I actually thought I was receiving one of Ed's messages from God. You see Ed reads all the time and I literally hate to read. So, I couldn't figure out why God wanted me to write a book. But He woke me up in the middle of the night and set on the foot of my bed and literally told me the scriptures he wanted me to write about. That book is no longer being printed and not in circulation. But I'm thinking about a revision and putting it together as an ebook.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on the same farm I'm living on now in southern middle Tennessee. I was the tomboy of the family and helped daddy with the farming. I did everything from slopping the hogs to breaking horses. Daddy was my hero, best friend and mentor. He always taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do as long as it was in God's will.
