Myriam Donin

Biography

I see myself as an ordinary woman. I went to Commercial College and after working for some time I answered an ad in a newspaper and bought a Tracing Business from someone who was immigrating. I ran it successfully with approximately five to six Attorneys as clients.
I wrote my first book “Bridge Book for Beginners” to help other beginners like myself understand the card game Bridge. It was distributed by a few book shops in South Africa. I also sold wooden gift boxes consisting of this book together with scorers, cards and pens to both the international and local markets, but gave it up after a while as it was too much work for one person and I could not really afford to hire help.
I have always wanted to write my life story and hope it assists other people in not making the same mistakes I did.

My life is curiously riveting, not because it involves wars or celebrities, quite the opposite. I'm just an ordinary woman, who thanks to unwise decisions and some plain old bad luck, has spent the last forty years stumbling from one disaster to the next. This is my story.
