Biography

Nicki Jae's journey with writing began with poetry and short stories at the young age of thirteen. Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio she now resides in Lexington, Kentucky with her three children. Her hobbies include reading, writing, video gaming, and travel. With a passion for writing both urban fiction and Christian fiction, she writes under the two distinct pen names. Onyx Rosz for her urban fiction and Nicki Jae for her Christian fiction. Her breakout Christian book Genevieve Lost was released on March 15th, 2019.

When did you first start writing?
I was about 13 years old when I started writing, I was about 13 years old I'd started with poetry, then "screenplays" because I wasn't able to coherently write in storybook format. I will always look at writing as the thing that was and will always be the thing that saved my life.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
OMG yes, I remember the first story I ever wrote. It was a fantasy fiction of a game my kids' father and I used to play. looking back on it, it was very immature and embarrassing.
