Rayne has had a rough time with his life for the past few years, although he seems to have everything a man could want the past still haunts him. How can the king of romance not remember ever being in love and yet still crave the affections of a ghost from his past. This is a great example of true love exists and that all the money in the world means nothing if you feel empty inside. The main character Rayne is charming in his own way and as I followed him in his journey I found myself feeling guilty because I was cheering for the other woman when Stacey inspired him to write a number one bestselling novel and for him to search the world for him. He seems too weak at times, but then again despite the fact we all want a tough hero type of a man secretly we need someone who loves us more than his pride. It was nice to see a female character being vulnerable and strong for a change from a man’s point of view. It was nice also to hear the impressions that my city had on a foreigner as well as I found myself guessing at the cities he went to and the sites that he saw. I think that many women will read this book and enjoy the simplicity of it. A love story from a man’s point of view and shows that being sexy and attractive can be more based on a woman’s personality then how much cleavage she shows. Now I find myself eagerly awaiting the next book by this newly discovered treasure.
