Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the gold mining town of Benoni, in South Africa. The mine, Kleinfontein, was one of seven of the richest gold mines in the world at the time and boasts the record for the highest man made mine dump in the world. While no longer active, Benoni has produced other gems, notably Charlize Theron, Oscar winner, and Charlene Wittstock, Princess of Monaco. There is a lot of history in Benoni and surrounds and this has led me to include bits of history in my novels.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The main theme of Ride The Restless Wind, is the law of universal attraction, or you attract what you think. This governs our lives and determines who we are, whether we are going to be happy or sad, rich or poor. It is really all about being positive and pure of thought.
