About:
Nomonde Nelisiwe Jele is the daughter of the late Ps. Jabulani Jele her father and Constance G. Nhleko her mother. A poet, enthusiastic reader, and writer, was born on the 8th of September… in Kwa-Dlangezwa where her father’s home is at. She and her late younger biological brother Nkululeko Jele ended up growing up in Pongola (Ncotshane Township).

(In 2020, she was a student at the University of Witwatersrand, In Johannesburg where she was doing masters of Science in archeology, unfortunately she did not completed due to the rise of covid-19, but she is currently pursuing her Masters in the History Studies at University of KwaZulu-Natal).

“Kuvuka Ingcugce” It is a collection of poems from different female poets. The book was published by On Time Publishers.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Pongola and I observed many social incidents that incessantly imposed themselves in the community.
In this short story, the main character named Sizwe has lost a job; his wife Leti convinces him to take the money he has left to invest it in the pyramid scheme. Finally, Sizwe discovers many things about the man who came to persuade them to trade.
