Smashwords Interview

What do the opinions of your fans mean to you?
I think it is pretty clear there are only two types of authors people like to read. One is the interest arousing, swashbuckling writer who can pull the reader into the story. His or her writing can cause the heart to race and make the reader crave more, making the reader cling to every word. The second is the writer who is controversial. Every word he or she writes can set the reader on edge, either making the reader want more just so they know how much more or less they will hate him or her after reading the book. For me, I fall comfortably into the first category. I want the reader to not only like my writing, but to embrace the topics, whether fiction or non-fiction, with a true sense of wanting more.
What are your plans for future books?
The first book I wrote, as an e-book, was on marital relationships from a Christian perspective. I have distributed that book as a PDF to Church and family for the past few years. I plan on revamping it and publishing it through Smashwords in the near future. I also have a fantasy novel in the works that pits the age old forces of evil against the true source of good. Finally, I am working on a young adult work of fiction that employs science fiction and concepts of space and time travel.
