Sheila English

I'm an award winning producer and script writer who also loves to write novels! I love writing novels that entertain, but that also have kernels of wisdom. I love supernatural stories with a romantic element, so that's what you're likely to find in my books.

I am bi-coastal, living in KY and in CA. I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, collect antique typewriters and am active in animal rights issues. I have seven dogs who are all rescue dogs and who are family to me. My Adam Frankenstein books feature a Harlequin Minpin named Bella who is based off of my real-life Bella who I adore!

Smashwords Interview

What kind of stories do you write?
I was in the science field for 20 years and though I don't always include science in my books, I do have respect for basing things in reality as much as possible. This is especially important since I write using some kind of supernatural element in my novels.
I love characters and how they interact with people and the world around them when challenged.
I love suspense and romance so those are elements I always include in anything I write.
So, in a nutshell, I love to write paranormal stories with characters you can relate to and care about and a sense of suspense and/or adventure.
What kind of reader enjoys your books?
Primarily people who love a sense of adventure and a deep connection to the characters. People who love shows that challenge you to think and/or feel as they also entertain. Shows like Supernatural, Penny Dreadful, Doctor Who, Person of Interest, Vampire Diaries, House, M.D., Justified, Alias, so a mix of paranormal and drama with a touch of humor.
Most of my readers enjoy paranormal romance, supernatural suspense and great characters.
