Julie and Jason Buckley escaped the rat race, twice. The first time, aged 39, we quit our corporate jobs, bought an old motorhome we called Dave, and set off with our dog Charlie to tour Europe, Morocco and Tunisia. Two years later the money ran out and we came home to the UK, got jobs, earned and learned. Aged 43 we retired, financially independent at this point with income from various assets. We bought another motorhome and set off again. Now we mix up life in the UK and life travelling. Life is good.
This mini-guide tells the story of how I, Jason Buckley, and my wife Julie re-designed our lives to enable us to stop the daily 9 to 5 of our corporate jobs, and to instead have the choice to do something else - we chose travel. Its purpose is to help others who are thinking about making a similar lifestyle change.
With the abyss of Fortysomethingness looming, Julie and Jason quit work and set off on an adventure. Their goal - tour Europe for a year. Their transport - Dave, a motorhome half their age. Join them and pet pooch Charlie (almost 40 in dog years) as they explore the mountains and deserts of Morocco - a country they never planned to visit.
Driving your motorhome or campervan to Morocco couldn't be easier with Motorhome Morocco - An OurTour Guide. Get this English language guidebook to answer your questions on entering the country, travelling it safely, finding campsites, taking your dog, buying essentials, visiting some of the best sights and handling the language.
This second edition of the guide was completely revised in 2017.
