Phil Cone

Just eager to smash a rather large hole in the world of Crime Fiction

Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Sidcup, which hasn't influenced my writing yet but every year since I was born, I had my summer holidays or weekends away in either Boyle or Dublin, so I lived and breathed the areas and became as familiar with them as I do my home town.
When did you first start writing?
It was the night before a Politics exam at College and I was bored revising about capitalism. So i wrote a short story called "Sunday Morning Call" written from the perspective of a victim of Domestic Violence. I did write song lyrics at college thinking I was going to be the next John Lennon but gladly, I found out that I was rubbish at it.
