A.F. Stewart has the wonderful gift of using words to paint vivid pictures. In my case, maybe too vivid. Regardless, she is a gifted, great writer and deserves a review. The city of Elowen and the Sapphire Palace are so easy to imagine. Quote: “ “Pain screams through my body and I fall back to my knees, spitting blood. But I will finish; he needs to know. “The founder of this place, …Thelphin bound the walls of this city with dark magic, with the bones and souls of the dead of Karrul. Didn’t you wonder why these walls have never been breached?”” I would recommend this book to all readers that enjoy black fantasy.

I have thoroughly enjoyed compiling this great anthology. The diversity of the many writers who submitted their stories and poems is amazing, and reading them, fascinating. Granted, I have the manuscript, but I love this book so much, I downloaded it to my Kindle. If you love romance, sci-fi, children’s stories, humor, fantasy, horror, poetry or just general fiction, there’s a story or poem in there just perfect for you.

Every teenage girl will become completely involved with Kimberly’s book, The Secrets We Keep. Not just involved, but will relate to Callie’s experiences in friends, relationships and romance. Callie is one of the seven Cs, a group of seven girls, all names starting with a C. Eventually, as a few of the Cs moved to different towns, there were fewer Cs, but their friendships remain. As I said, every teenage girl, with hormones raging will relate to Callie, her arguments with her mother, her need to be loved by a boy and her need for that boy to be honest. Still, she finds she’s not totally honest in her relationships. Sounds familiar for when you were a teen? Hmmm….
