Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
Writing is in my genes! My father, Walter Cummins, taught English literature, is an author, editor, and has a small publishing house. How could I not write? I even published a poem about the sun in a small magazine when I was a child. I was always good at writing and reading in school. Algebra is another story! I could never understand why x+y = xy mattered?
Why do you write non-fiction about relationships, self-growth, and spirituality?
I really love reading fiction and hope one day to write a fiction book. At this time in my life I am guided to write non-fiction. I am a Libra, the sign of relationships, which is why I have always been fascinated with relationships, especially love relationships. When I was in junior high, it was incredible how many of my fellow students wrote in my yearbook – “If all the boys lived across the sea what a good swimmer Pamela would be.” So true!

Unfortunately, when I was younger I had some very unhealthy and painful relationships. The good news is these experiences made me look inside of me to grow and discover my own spirituality. I discovered the more I did this, the better all my relationships became. I love writing and teaching the techniques and lessons that helped me and my clients. My hope is to prevent unnecessary pain for my readers, to create more self-love for themselves, and have better relationships in general. If they find, “The One,” from my eBooks that is a HUGE JOY for me!

  • Bastien on Aug. 24, 2013

I love the beast and hate the man. Bastien is such a bastard! No wonder he was turned into a beast, the jerk! This is the second eBook that I have read by Alianne Donnelly and she is one of the few who have her own category on my kindle. Onward to read The Beast…..
  • Candy's Man on Aug. 29, 2013

Beware! Once you pick up Candy’s Man, you will not put it down! A good romance story, with a couple of very tasteful sex scenes.
  • The Beast on Aug. 29, 2013

Only a talented author can take a classic and make it so exciting! This isn’t your Disney beast. I would recommend reading Bastien first to get the Beast background. I really love the ending!
  • A Witch's Tale on Sep. 11, 2013

A Witch’s Tale is not your usual romance story. It keeps you guessing of how the story is going to unfold and is very entertaining. I like the fact that although Madeline can do magic, she is human just like everyone else. A must read!

  • Fearless Puppy on American Road on Dec. 30, 2013

Doug “Ten” Rose life sure has been filled with lots of adventures. It is an interesting book with an assortment of characters displaying the diversity of the American people. Ten uses his life experiences to teach many lessons. He has overcome some huge obstacles that would have conquered most people. I really liked the majority of this book. There were other parts that I wasn’t crazy about. The author can be a little overbearing in his opinions about issues, even though I usually agreed with what he was gripping about. The very beginning of the book would have be better at the end. And the reason of how he injured his neck was, “Too much information!” But those are my opinion, check it out for yourself. The book is definitely worth it!
  • There Goes the Neighborhood; Earthly Fantasy/Science Fiction Short Stories on July 17, 2014

I really enjoyed the majority of the short stories. Gary Davies is a gifted short story writer and very generous with the amount of stories in this free eBook. A must download!

  • Wizard of Ends on Oct. 19, 2014

A must read! I couldn’t put “Wizard of Ends” down and gobbled it up in one night. The lack of sleep from being such a glutton was worth it! It is so hard to be patient waiting for book 2, a few more days.
  • Doorway to Destiny (A Thirteen-Book Fantasy and Science Fiction Adventure Box Set) on Oct. 21, 2014

I bought this box set for two reasons. The first was I loved “The Queen’s Blade” series by T.C. Southwell, so I knew the writing would be good. The second was that it is such a bargain. I was blown away by Vanessa Finaughty - “Legends of Origins” series! Both of these ladies are awesome writers! For only 99 cents you will be entertained for many weeks.

This story has an interesting concept of how to punish a criminal. And I loved the ending!
  • Blood Moons on Jan. 13, 2017

I love this series so much that I just had to have the eBooks on my device! You see, I read it a few years ago when I had a subscription with Oyster, or was it Scribd? To be honest with you, it is rare that I reread any eBook because of the smorgasbord of eBooks available. Alianne Donnelly’s books are another story! I reread “The Royal Wizard,” just finished “Blood Moons,” and will continue on with the next 3 eBooks. What I love about the first eBook of this series, Blood Moons, is the most unusual place where the couple met (not telling) and the futuristic/sci-fi/psychic/and more… integration into this story. Alianne Donnelly writing is phenomenal as always :) And it’s got a tiger, which really appeals to this crazy cat lady who was born in the year of the tiger!
  • Blood Trails on Jan. 24, 2017

  • Blood Debts on Jan. 31, 2017

Alianne Donnelly proves once again how her writing makes the characters come alive in “Blood Debt.” The book is a constant adventure and part of the plot is on a planet fashioned after the Roman Empire. I really enjoyed this eBook despite the fact I’ve always had issues with the Romans’ civilization. Perhaps, I was a Roman slave in a past life?
  • Blood Hunt on Feb. 05, 2017

The Blood and Shadows series comes to a stunning climax with the fourth eBook “Blood Hunt.” I loved all the books in this series, but this one is my favorite! Alianne Donnelly weaves a love story during chaos and war, proving that even the so-called damaged can love. And as for the villain, Senator Griffith, well, in his case karma is truly a b*tch!

  • Heir of Tanaris on Dec. 31, 2017

Heir of Tanaris can be compared to a gourmet dessert, where it’s easy to devour it; however, it’s more enjoyable to savor each bite, and how sad when it’s gone. I loved everything about this book: plot, characters, pace, and ending. Could there be an Heir of Tanaris book 2? Pretty please.

  • Shadow Magic on Nov. 05, 2019

Then I was so sad that it was over, sob, why does it have to end? Yet, unlike a gourmet meal, the Dawn of Ragnarok series is destined to be read over again and again and again…
