First published in "Walkabout", an Australian geographic magazine, followed shortly by an article in "Animal Kingdom", the New York Zoological Society magazine chronicling my IUCN/WWF research grant to determine the status of the Tasmanian Tiger.
Spent seven years in Australia in the most remote areas of the continent capturing wild bulls, exploring wilderness that no other man had ever ventured into, living with aborigines, etc.
Past twenty years have been publishing in various outdoor interest magazines. "The Bull Catchers" is my first book length project.
A young Texan is taken under the wing of the most outrageous characters in Crocodile Dundee country where he pursues the dangerous profession of "bull catching", capturing wild bulls and buffalos on the open range. Unlike pioneer Texans, the author, in bare feet, uses Toyotas instead of horses and throws them down by the tail instead of roping them. A one of a kind outback Australian adventure.
