Paul Westmoreland was born and raised in Nottingham. Though he has written several novels and short stories, Raineland is his first published work.
His professional life has been as a teacher in in Buckinghamshire, then Leeds and finally for twenty-three years in Carlisle.
Paul Westmoreland lives with his wife in Penrith where Raineland was completed.
